The promotion of plant growth by L-Alanyl-L-cystine can be carried out from the following aspects:

I. Application as a Foliar Fertilizer

Preparation of a Solution with an Appropriate Concentration: Generally, L-Alanyl-L-cystine can be formulated into an aqueous solution with a concentration between 0.1% and 0.5%. First, dissolve it thoroughly in a small amount of warm water, and then dilute it with water to the required concentration. For example, to prepare 1L of a solution with a concentration of 0.3%, weigh 3g of L-Alanyl-L-cystine, dissolve it in 50-100mL of warm water first, and then make up the volume to 1L.

Selection of an Appropriate Spraying Time: Conduct foliar spraying in the early morning or evening on a sunny day. Avoid spraying when the sunlight is strong to prevent the solution from evaporating rapidly, which may affect the absorption effect, and also to prevent the leaves from being burned.

Uniform Spraying: Use a sprayer to evenly spray the solution on both the front and back sides of the plant leaves to ensure that the leaves are fully exposed to the solution. Taking cucumbers as an example, ensure that each leaf is evenly coated with the solution, especially the newly grown leaves and functional leaves, so as to promote the plant to quickly absorb L-Alanyl-L-cystine through the leaves and thus play its role in promoting growth.

II. Application for Soil Irrigation

Determination of the Application Rate: Determine the application rate of L-Alanyl-L-cystine according to the soil fertility and the growth status of the plants. For soil with general fertility, 5-10 grams can be applied per square meter. For example, in a tomato field, it can be evenly sprinkled on the soil around the plants according to this application rate.

Dissolution and Irrigation: Dissolve L-Alanyl-L-cystine in an appropriate amount of water to prepare a solution with a concentration of 0.2% to 0.5% for irrigation. For instance, dissolve 5 grams of L-Alanyl-L-cystine in 1L of water, and then irrigate around the roots of the plants, allowing the solution to fully penetrate into the soil and be absorbed by the plant roots, providing nutrients and regulatory effects for plant growth.

Combination with the Irrigation System: If there is a drip irrigation or sprinkler irrigation system, the L-Alanyl-L-cystine solution can be added to the irrigation water, and it can be evenly delivered to the soil around the roots of the plants through the irrigation system. In this way, the application rate and distribution range can be more precisely controlled, and the utilization efficiency can be improved.

III. Seed Treatment

Seed Soaking Treatment: Soak the seeds in a solution containing L-Alanyl-L-cystine. Generally, prepare a solution with a concentration of 0.05% to 0.2%. For example, dissolve 2 grams of L-Alanyl-L-cystine in 4L of water to make a 0.05% solution, and soak the seeds in the solution for 6-12 hours. For some seeds with a relatively thick seed coat, such as bean seeds, the soaking time can be appropriately extended to 12-24 hours to promote seed germination and seedling growth.

Seed Dressing Treatment: Evenly mix L-Alanyl-L-cystine with the seeds. It can be first made into a powder, and then the powder is thoroughly mixed with the seeds according to the ratio of 0.5% to 1% of the seed weight. For example, 5-10 grams of L-Alanyl-L-cystine powder can be used for 1000 grams of seeds, so that it adheres evenly to the surface of the seeds. In this way, during the seed germination process, L-Alanyl-L-cystine can be continuously absorbed, providing a good start for seedling growth.
